Dismissal Procedures & Early Student Pick-up
Student dismissal will start daily at 4:15pm by announcement. Students are expected to remain in their assigned classroom until dismissed. Students who are not bus riders are not permitted on the bus ramp and students who are bus riders are not permitted to wait in the parent pick-up area. Not being in the appropriate location during dismissal at any time, may result in an Out of Area referral.
Students will dismissed in waves, starting with Parent Pick-Up at 4:15pm. Bus Riders will be dismissed according to bus arrival starting at 4:20pm. Walkers and Bikers will be dismissed once Parent Pick-up traffic has cleared, at approximately 4:30pm.
When our school after school dinner program is running, all dismissal groups will have the opportunity to grab food on their way out, but only ask they are dismissed by announcements. Food is not permitted to be consumed on a school bus and students are expected to throw away all trash to keep our campus clean.
When a student must be picked up during the day, whoever is picking up the student must show Identification and be listed on the student's FOCUS portal account.
In the event that your name is not listed on the student's FOCUS portal account, the guardian/parent of the student must email stating:
- - Guardian/Parent contact information
- Photo of Guardian/Parent identification
- Reason for student dismissal
- First and Last name of the Guardian/Parent is giving permission to pick up the student.

Per LCSD Policy 4.16: No student shall be released within the final 30 minutes of the school day unless the Principal/Designee determines it is an emergency.
